Mark W. Sanderson B.Sc., M.Sc., P.G.C.E., S.F.H.E.A.

Mark has had a lifelong interest in the horse and the development of its industry as well as the application of science to equine performance.  He graduated from the University of Stirling with a degree in Animal Physiology and was subsequently awarded a master’s degree in equine science from the University of Wales.

On graduating, Mark took the role of research assistant for the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Equine Fertility Unit in Newmarket, investigating and publishing papers on various aspects of improving equine reproductive performance over a 10 year period.  He followed this with a 27 year career as a professional educator in the role of senior lecturer in equine science, covering subjects as diverse as equine science and performance, equine resource management and entrepreneurship and e-commerce.  Mark has worked in the equine further education sector and also developed and managed equine degree courses, keeping current with the latest industry developments and their practical application.

Mark now offers services as an independent equine and education consultant.  He enthusiastically focuses his lifetime of knowledge and experience to assist the development of all aspects of the horse, its industry and its staff as well as providing support services for further and higher education.
